Support Cards 3 - Janna, Taric, and Zyra!

As for all of the Support-Cards I have added them to a compilation album here: http://imgur.com/a/S7bOH#0 and you can vote for what champions you want to see next by tweeting at me @SpellsyLoL

I am also going to look at doing an extended mastery explanation for these first 6 supports and their builds (5/0/25, 15/0/15, 1/13/16, etc.) Look for that coming soon!

Also, keep an eye out by following this blog for the next week's UNORTHODOX support cards! ft. Kayle, Elise, and final mystery support!

  1. Hey,

I've noticed a lot of Koreans and Europeans running
Armor Reds, 2 HP Quints and 1 GP10 Qint, 8 GP10 Yellows and 1 Armor Yellow, and the normal Glyphs on some Supports. Maybe you could look into that?

Any thoughts on a 9/4/17 Support or a more common 1/7/22 Support?

    1. yea that is an interesting rune page i might try it, and for 9/4/17 i would never run that - the 6 hp per level is no where near worth 6 % cdr and 3 % move speed. 9/0/21 would almost always be better. And 1/7/22 I dont really like either, this might be just due to personality though, i much prefer either a heavy cdr build (5/0/25) or a more tanky-harass oriented build (0/13/17). I tend to favor the extra utility points in things like summ cd or item cd and the extra cdr from offense over the extra tiny health and the 5 armor. But, i can see that page being used - it would a nice just middle ground between the two pages i listed before.

    2. Are these tournament runes or just from viewing them in solo queue/streams, because I'm very curious how you get this information if it's from the tournaments. I find myself wanting to know after every LCS match especially the ones with high calibur players like Darien and his Shen. Thanks in advance :X

    3. Supporting is a role I favor over others (not a big fan of using the term "main"). I've been following rune pages through ProBuilds.net. Koreans have been running the page on many champs. Some Europeans have caught on.

On the other hand, Krepo has been running 0 GP10 and playing a full offense or defensive page for Elise (3 HP Quint, 9 Armor Red/Yellow, 9 MR Glyph or 3 HP Quint, 9 MPen Red, 9 MR Yellow, 9 MR Glyph).

Still, the most interesting page to me is the HP Support page (3 Gp10, 52 HP, 9.6 Armor, w/e MR glyphs you want), which contrasts the Armor Support page (3 Gp10, 21 Armor, w/e MR Glyphs)

It's the trade off between 8 Armor Yellows for 52 HP.

Other thoughts I have are of a: 1/15/14 page for Leona or dive-oriented supports. Pulling the 2 points away from the Extra ward and biscuit and putting them into 2 points in reducing damage from minions.

    4. i've almost finished farming out 7k ip for some cd reduction glyphs but this hp quint's tempting to try.

  2. Have you ever tried Lemonnations AP Janna support where he maxes W instead of E? I've found my winrate of janna as a support to be exponentially better than Maxing E. Especially in soloq, you rarely will have the co-ordination required for your lane partner to use E to its full extent and even then, it's presence in lane is minimal. Building kage pick -> morellonomicon, also gives janna much needed ap and cdr in the long run.

Just my 2 cents, try i if you haven't :) It's actually pretty powerful. Dat slow + free movespeed

  5. I love your cards. Is there a link to some of the masteries? I am new to support and I dont understand what a 5/0/25 would look like on a support. Any help with this would be great
    Thanks

  7. Hi,I love your blog too, but, I have a question, are you going to make one chart per champ or more?, something like, defensive charts, aggresive charts, alternative charts, etc. I think that would be a great idea and I would be quite happy with that. Also you said you were gonna make and explanation for masteries, are you gonna make an extended version of runes too?.
    Thanks for your time

    1. Yes i will be, for example I was debating to do soraka this week but didnt want to because i wanted to release 2 for her (aggressive aka heavy starcall or infuse harass, and passive aka heal & avoidance)

    2. Thank you, and thanks for the quick reply. I have another question, are you going to update the charts if some big changes, tweaks, nerfs or buffs occur to the champs you've already made charts of?

  8. I just wanted to say that your posts have been very helpful. I really like that they're both reliable, coming from someone who's proven they know what they're doing, and relevant, coming from someone who understands solo queue. If I really love a champ, I look for long, in-depth text guides, but these cards are perfect for understanding quick and clear basics within a short time.

No pressure, but I'm looking forward to more ^^
